Swarm of Butterflie

Swarm of Butterflie

15cm×18cm

As the title suggests, this piece depicts a swarm of overlapping butterflies. If you use the silver wire to guide you and look at the patterns of the butterflies and the background as individual glass surfaces, they appear almost like a mosaic pattern that is intricately intertwined. The combination of these small surfaces requires extremely difficult techniques and is a delicate form of beauty created by highly masterful techniques. Also not to be forgotten is the beauty of the white background. The patterns are of course beautiful, but the glow and purity of the white background is something unique to works of baseless Cloisonné and a point to note when viewing such work.
