Fuji and Cherry Blossoms

Fuji and Cherry Blossoms

18cm×18cm

Beyond the cherry blossoms, you can see Mount Fuji. The cherry blossoms normally have light pink and white petals, but in this piece, the petals are yellowish-green. The color of the surface of Mount Fuji is also green except for the white of the snow. On the actual Mount Fuji, there is no vegetation above the fifth station and the mountain is reddish-brown in color. Or if it is seen from far away, it is tinged by the air and appears to have a blueish color. In this piece, it has the same light green color as the petals of the cherry blossoms. You can say that the colors are fiction, but it wraps the entire image in a shroud of the same color. You can even call the glow of this light green “Takao Green” as she creates of world of color that is uniquely her own.
