In this piece, Takao uses her unique sense of beauty and form to show Wisteria in full bloom. In the natural world, Wisteria branches are covered with both blossoms and leaves, but in this piece, the shapes are organized so that the leaves are with the leaves and the flowers are with the flowers, thereby emphasizing each world in a simple way. The two groups of colors that are created make a beautiful contrast. The stamen at the center of the flowers is yellow like the flame of a candle, adding a warm accent to the cool impression of the bluish petals.
